A fulfilled life does not just come to you, it starts and sprouts from you. It is possible to cage fulfillment through the little things that we do wrongly, but you can do better and feel better about yourself if you put your foot down and start doing a few things differently.
There’s more to life when you start living, letting people live for you is the chief ingredient in a discontent and unhappy life. It makes you believe you are incapable and keeps you from pushing the next foot.
Self fulfilment can be achieved if you:
•FILTER THE THINGS THAT OTHERS SAY YOU ARE
Like it or not, people are going to talk about you, and it’s not always going to be good stuff. But you have the option of accepting all of it, ignoring all of it, selecting the good stuff and accepting the terrible ones.
•STOP TRYING TO BE A COPY
It is a lot harder to be like someone else than it is to be yourself. When you spend so much time on being someone you’re not, then you miss out on the fun of building yourself and you’ll always feel like a looser if something should not go like you planned it to.
•DO NOT PROCRASTINATE
Often, most people are not able to be fulfilled and happy, because they postponed that activity that should have been done there and then. There is no better time than now, do what you have to do.
•THROW EXCESSIVE WEIGHTS OVERBOARD
Even though being social is vital, keeping the right company is in every way the best. You do not have to carry everyone along, “some people only exist as good examples of what to avoid”
•SAY WHAT YOU THINK
Try to voice out your opinions as often as possible, so you do not have to regret not saying them later.
•STOP BEING OKAY WITH EVERYTHING
You deserve to be treated right. Be bold enough to say you’re hurt and be smart enough to avoid a similar situation.
•IT IS OKAY TO SAY NO
In as much as it’s great to be selfless, letting others live your life for you is very unhealthy. Doing things you do not want to do is vain and fruitless.
•DON’T JUST DREAM
Not that dreaming is a bad thing, but too much of it gives you a temporary false sense of fulfilment, then you wake up and realize you are still where you were. Dream it, then BE it.
•HAVE A COUNTER OPINION
As stated in the first hack, people will always say things about you. Another way to not be too affected by negative comments, is to counter them with the positive things you know about yourself.
•LEARN TO BE HAPPY HELPING OTHERS
Until you learn to lend a hand, you are not living, but merely existing. Helping others, gives life meaning and purpose. You haven’t got much? don’t worry! a little kindness, with a lot of love is all you need, and the smile you’ll get in return should nudge you to do more.
Make efforts to attain your full potential.
