Do You Know That Rema & Ruger Are Not Mavin Record Artistes? (Talk-Zone)

On March 22, 2019, recording artiste D’Prince created Jonzing World, a Nigerian record label. And Mavin Global the label’s distributor.

4weeks ago, (13th May, 2022) The Nigeria’s biggest record label, Mavin Record put out a sensational single titled “Overdose” with its Artistes Crayon, Ayra Starr, Ladipoe, Magixx, and Boy Spyce to mark their 10 Years Anniversary.

If you had listened or seen the video, you will noticed that Rema and Ruger were not featured because they are not Mavin artistes.

Divine Ikubor is a Nigerian singer and rapper mostly known by his stage name (Rema).

With the release of the song “Iron Man,” which was featured on Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist, he shot to fame. He secured a record deal with Jonzing World, a Mavin Records subsidiary, in 2019.

Michael Adebayo Olayinka, (Ruger) is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter.

Ruger shot to fame in 2021 after signing a record deal with D’Prince, which included a publishing and distribution arrangement with Columbia Records and a publishing and distribution deal with Sony Music Entertainment, U.K division.

We’re putting this up here because someone asked why Rema and Ruger were not featured on the Mavin Record Anniversary song (Overdose).
