Maybe the most elusive of all the puzzles surrounding human conduct is love.
Is it an emotion or a decision? This issue has been the subject of lengthy discussion among many people, and there is no simple solution.
It’s simple to argue that love is a sensation, on the one hand. After all, we are attracted to people for no particular reason, right? It can feel like a lightning strike when we meet someone who draws us in.
Humans experience a wide range of strong emotions, including happiness, excitement, and stomach butterflies. It’s difficult to think that we choose to experience these emotions.
Nonetheless, some contend that choosing to love is a decision. When we commit to someone, we decide to stay with them despite their shortcomings. Despite their flaws, we choose to love them.
We also decide to make the sacrifices necessary to preserve a solid connection. A successful relationship requires effort, and that effort is voluntary.
In the end, the solution can be somewhere in between. Love is a feeling as well as a decision. It begins with chemistry and attraction, but ultimately it is up to us to decide if we want to pursue a relationship with that particular individual.
And once we’re in a relationship, it’s up to us to decide whether to continue making the sacrifices necessary to maintain it.
So, the most crucial thing to keep in mind is that maintaining a successful relationship requires effort, regardless of whether you think love is a decision or a sensation.
Deciding to love someone requires committing to that work, day in and day out. Although it’s not always simple, it may be very satisfying.
Yet, everyone has a different understanding of what love is to them, so how would you define it? Are you incredibly susceptible when it comes to loving, or is it something you have control over?

It’s both.
It start with a feeling, then the decision on whom to love, why to love and the moment to love.
